Job summary

Bandwidth Recruitment seeks a Software Development Manager I in Raleigh, NC to own the performance of distributed microservices on AWS. You will provide hands-on technical leadership, mentor the team, design APIs with product owners, and drive scalable CI/CD practices.

You will split time between leadership and hands-on coding, guiding junior developers and ensuring on-time delivery of features through effective sprint planning and roadmap alignment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or related field.
7+ years of experience in software development or related roles.
Experience leading a team of developers or as a technical lead.
Experience with AWS development.

Responsibilities

Own availability and performance of distributed microservices deployed in AWS.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship through 1:1s and feedback.
Design, document, and review new features and APIs with product owner.
Mentor junior developers to grow technical skills.
Support CI/CD pipelines and scalable software delivery.
Lead sprint planning and ensure delivery against plan.
Prioritize features with stakeholders and provide roadmap estimates.
