Job summary

Lumen is seeking a senior software leader to manage the Digital Customer Experience Platform group, ensuring 24/7 availability across Web Portal, iOS, Android, and public APIs. You will collaborate with Product Owners to optimize customer engagements and drive value for our enterprise and government customers.

You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, and steer development from plan to delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment with a focus on high‑quality, scalable software across cloud

Qualifications

• 10+ years of full lifecycle software development experience.
• 2+ years of management experience of large enterprise products.
• 5+ years design and development experience in Java, JavaScript, Node.js, JSON and MongoDB/Couchbase.
• 3+ years of experience with mobile app development (iOS and Android).
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure from AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Experience with Git, JUnit, SonarQube, Kafka, Grunt, Jasmine.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to produce high quality, maintainable software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning, demo and retrospective sessions as member of Agile Scrum team.
• Manage development activities to deliver best in class experience.
• Maintain key architecture components that are reusable and scalable.
• Identify and design key moments in complex customer journeys across major services/products.
• Mentor team members in Agile processes, code reviews, and deployment.
• Assist with points of contact as requested by product owners.
• Create development environment for automated CI/CD.
• Ensure product quality and fast response times via benchmarking.
