Job summary

Lumen is seeking a seasoned software leader to manage a team within the Digital Customer Experience Platform Group, ensuring 24/7 availability of the Lumen experience across Web Portal, iOS, Android, and public APIs. You will work with Product Owners to optimize customer engagements and drive value for our clients.

You will mentor Agile teams, shape architecture for reusable, scalable components, and oversee end-to-end delivery of enterprise-grade solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years full lifecycle software development experience.
• 2+ years of management experience of large enterprise products or solutions.
• 5+ years design and development experience in Java (Core Java, Spring, Web Services), JavaScript, Node.js, PM2, JSON and MongoDB, CouchBase.
• 3+ years of experience with mobile app development (iOS and Android).
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure from Amazon, Azure, GCP.
• Experience with Junit, SonarQube, Kafka, Grunt, Jasmine.
• Experience with source control packages such as Git.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to produce high quality, maintainable software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning, demo and retrospective sessions as member of Agile Scrum team.
• Manage development activities to deliver the best in class experience.
• Manage key architecture components that are reusable, scalable, and extensible.
• Identify and design key moments during complex customer journeys across major services.
• Mentor others on the team, review designs and code, oversee integration and deployment.
• Assist with point of contacts requested by product owners.
• Create development environment for efficient testing and integration with CI/CD.
• Ensure quality and performance through benchmarking.
