Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for our AWS Networking organization to join a team designing and developing software and services for configuring and automating networking devices. You will work with multiple teams to ensure scalable designs, reduced operational burden, and strong customer focus at scale.

You will operate autonomously, deliver features, and collaborate across software, hardware, and network engineering to maintain high standards and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience building complex software systems delivered to customers.
• Experience designing or architecting systems with design patterns, reliability and scaling.
• Full SDLC experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing and operations.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Java, C++, or C#) with OO design.

Responsibilities

• Operate autonomously on projects with scope at team or cross-team level.
• Drive designs for components and services, prepare estimates, document solutions, review code, and provide leadership updates.
