Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Software Development Engineer for Network Product Development in Cupertino, CA to design and maintain embedded networking solutions powering AWS networking platforms. You will work with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure networking software for switches and routers, and contribute to the world’s largest cloud network.

The role emphasizes learning, leadership, and ownership of reliability, performance, and security across the network stack.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design/architecture experience for new and existing systems.
• Experience in Linux and networking protocols.
• Experience with Rust, Go, C and/or C++ languages.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Linux-based solutions on embedded devices for networking products.
• Collaborate with network engineering, software and hardware teams to develop embedded software for networking switches and routers.
• Dive deep to understand Amazon's network architecture, operation and security.
• Lead and mentor team members on reliability, scaling, and security.
