Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced software engineer to design and deploy automated tooling and AI-driven workflows. You will integrate REST/SOAP APIs, manage data transformations, and collaborate with client IT and ERP teams to ensure reliable, secure transaction flows.

You will build and maintain automated test suites, optimize backend scripts, and perform root-cause analysis during client implementations, with a strong emphasis on payment lifecycles and cloud-based deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software development with integration tooling, automation frameworks, or backend microservices.
• Proficiency in Python or Java for backend script development, automation, and API consumption.
• Node.js/TypeScript for full-stack automation is required.
• 3+ years building automated workflows with state management, multi-threading, and async processing.
• 3+ years writing, optimizing, and debugging SQL across PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience deploying tools in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Experience integrating Generative AI services (OpenAI, Claude, LangChain) is a plus.
• Understanding of payment lifecycles, PCI-DSS, and gateway messaging.
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP ECC/S4HANA, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards).
• Strong Linux/Unix scripting skills.
• On-site work Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with a strong foundation in building integration tools, automation frameworks, or backend microservices


• Strong proficiency in Python or Java for backend script development, automation, and API consumption


• Familiarity with Node.js/TypeScript for full-stack automation is required


• 3+ years of experience engineering automated workflows, handling state management, multi-threading, and asynchronous event processing


• 3+ years of experience writing, optimizing, and debugging SQL queries across relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle)


• Practical experience building and deploying tools in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)


• Experience utilizing Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI)


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience


• Experience integrating Generative AI services (OpenAI APIs, Claude, LangChain, or custom prompt pipelines) preferred as a plus


• Understanding of payment lifecycles, including authorization, settlement, tokenization, PCI-DSS compliance, and gateway messaging


• Exposure to enterprise systems or ERP data structures (SAP ECC/S4HANA, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards)


• Strong Linux/Unix shell scripting skills


• Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday
