Job summary

Amazon Leo seeks a Software Development Engineer to build and maintain software powering in-flight connectivity for commercial airlines. You will contribute to the Leo Aviation Solution, running aboard aircraft to manage cabin networks, satellite uplink scheduling, over-the-air updates, and passenger services.

You will write production code for embedded environments, collaborate across avionics, networking, and cloud teams, and grow your scope as you gain domain expertise in aviation-grade

Qualifications

• Proficient in modern software languages used for embedded and distributed systems.
• Experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling of large systems.
• Strong understanding of object oriented design and multi-threaded architectures.
• Experience in writing production-grade code for embedded environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain features and modules within the Leo Aviation Solution – cabin network management, software lifecycle, connectivity monitoring, and observability.
• Write production-quality software for certified embedded environments, meeting DO-178C Level E standards.
• Contribute to the over-the-air software lifecycle pipeline including cryptographic validation and staged activation.
• Develop observability infrastructure with health endpoints and telemetry collection.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and aviation-grade development practices.
