Job summary

Amazon Leo is hiring a Software Development Engineer to build and maintain software powering in-flight connectivity for commercial airlines. You will work on the Leo Aviation Solution, running on aircraft and handling cabin networks, satellite uplinks, OTA updates, and operational services for passengers, crew, and airlines.

In this hands-on role, you will write production code, collaborate with senior engineers on architecture, and grow in a challenging aviation-focused space.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture for large systems.
• 1+ years of object-oriented design and multi-threaded or distributed software.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain features within the Leo Aviation Solution.
• Write production-quality software for embedded environments meeting DO-178C Level E standards.
• Contribute to the over-the-air software lifecycle, including cryptographic validation and rollback.
• Develop observability infrastructure and fleet monitoring pipelines.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture decisions and code reviews.
• Write and execute DO-178C-aligned tests across cabin platforms.
