Job summary

Northrop Grumman in San Diego, CA seeks a Software Developer to design, develop and test Mission Systems software onsite with some remote work.

The role requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of software experience or a Master’s with no required experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Strong C++/Java and container tech are essential to integrate software across OSs.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 2+ years of direct software engineering experience, or a Master’s with 0 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance.
• Solid understanding of sensor fusion concepts and workflows.
• Experience using container tools (Docker/Podman/Kubernetes) in dev/prod.
• Experience administering Linux and Windows servers.
• Experience integrating software across multiple operating systems.
• Proficiency in C++ and Java; scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test Mission Systems software.
• Collaborate with IPT Leads, Integration RE, Software RE and other developers.
• Ensure software quality, verification and design approaches meet processes.
• Align with sector procedures and architectures.
