Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for on-site work in San Diego, CA or El Segundo, CA. The candidate will develop and maintain software applications within an Integrated Product Team, leveraging modern tools to rapidly deploy capabilities.

Responsibilities include end-to-end software lifecycle activities, collaboration across functions, and addressing complex software problems. Top Secret clearance and SAP access are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related engineering experience.
• Experience with the full software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with programming/scripting languages: C, C++, Java, Python.
• Experience with Agile software development, OOP, embedded systems, software integration and testing.
• Experience with Jira, GitLab, Docker, Fortify, Coverity, Black Duck, or similar DevOps tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain new and existing software applications.
• Leverage modern technologies to rapidly develop, integrate, test, and deploy new software capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to diagnose and address software and system problems throughout the lifecycle.
