Empower AI in Reston, VA, is seeking a Software Asset Manager to own the J6 C4E software ITAM program. You will manage license positions, SOPs, and reporting within the DISA J6 C4E environment, ensuring accurate provisioning and compliance across government systems.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years in software asset management, ITIL v4 Foundations, ServiceNow proficiency, and the ability to work in a government context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years in software asset management, software license compliance, or IT asset management.
• Experience developing and maintaining SOPs, process documentation, or program implementation plans.
• Experience supporting a DoD or J6 customer environment is preferred.
• ITIL v4 Foundations certification.
• CSAM and Microsoft Licensing Fundamentals are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the Software License Management and Accountability Program Implementation Plan and SOPs for Government review and ongoing governance.
• Review and revise documents as the J6 environment and licensing models change.
• Advance ITAM maturity and close accountability gaps.
• Evaluate license position and determine provisioning feasibility within enterprise agreements.
• Authorize or defer software installations based on licensing and security considerations.
• Maintain SAM Approved List and reconcile deployment vs license records.
• Ensure data integrity across ServiceNow and ITAM system of record.
• Present license position and implications to Government leadership.
