Job summary

Cadence Design Systems is seeking a Software Architect in San Jose to join the Innovus routing team within the physical implementation unit. You will design, develop, troubleshoot, and support P&R design flows and related data models, databases, and APIs, applying C/C++ and Tcl scripting skills on UNIX/Linux platforms.

The role demands MS-level education and 10+ years of experience, with a focus on IC design data models and efficient data access.

Qualifications

• MS with 10+ years of experience in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge in IC design data model, hierarchical design flow, database architecture, efficient data access algorithms.
• Proficiency with C/C++ and Tcl scripting is preferred.
• Experience in P&R software tool usage is a plus.
• Excellent programming and software engineering skills.
• Experience with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms is preferred.

You will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, debugging and supporting P&R design flow. Development responsibilities will include data-model and P&R flow enhancement, database enhancement, performance enhancement, and API/Class definition & enhancement.The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:* MS with 10+ years of experience, in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering* Knowledge in IC design data model, hierarchical design flow, database architecture, efficient data access algorithms* Proficiency with C/C++ and Tcl scripting is preferred.* Experience in P&R software tool usage is a plus.* Excellent programming and software engineering skills* Experience with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms is preferred*The annual salary range for California is $185,500 to $344,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure.
