1X is seeking a Product Design Engineer for the Softgoods team to design textiles, foams, and elastomers that define the NEO home robot. You will own components from sketch to production, blending traditional craft with novel materials while ensuring safety and quality at scale.

Collaborating with industrial designers, materials scientists, and manufacturing engineers, you will translate soft and welcoming aesthetics into repeatable manufacturing specs and cost-conscious solutions for

Qualifications

• Experience with textiles, foams, elastomers and hand-on prototyping.
• Ability to translate softgoods concepts into production-ready parts.
• Portfolio showcasing professional and personal projects.

Responsabilités

• Own NEO's softgoods components from concept to mass production.
• Deliver a soft-touch experience with defined feel and finish.
• Ensure safety and durability through validation testing.
