1X in San Carlos seeks a Digital Design Engineer on the Softgoods team to turn NEO's industrial design into production-grade surfaces using Autodesk Alias. You will craft Class-A surfaces for soft covers, trims and elastomer/foam parts, ensuring compatibility with joints, sensors and tooling.

You will work closely with industrial design and engineering, translating sketches and scan data into manufacturable geometry, and driving designs through tooling release to mass production.

Competenze

• 7+ years of professional Class-A surface modeling experience.
• Portfolio showing surfacing work in consumer products or similar high-finish industries.
• Able to work fully on-site in San Carlos.

Mansioni

• Own Class-A surface development for NEO's softgoods and touch-facing components delivering G2/G3-continuous, high-quality surfaces released on schedule.
• Integrate every Class-A surface with the robot across joints, sensors, cooling and service access.
• Translate design concepts, sketches, clay and scan data into precise digital models through tooling release.
• Drive surface feasibility for manufacturing with draft, parting lines, wall thickness and material behavior for foams/elastomers and textiles.
• Deliver clean, well-structured digital data to engineering, tooling partners and vendors, handing off from Alias to CAD and lattice structures.
• Set surfacing standards with quality checks, workflows and data structures to raise team capability.
