Job summary

1X is seeking an entry-level hands-on teammate to join the Softgoods team. You will cut, bond, sew, and assemble prototypes and fixtures with engineers and designers, moving products from idea to reality.

On-site work is required as collaboration happens hands-on. Ideal candidates bring basic CAD understanding, attention to detail, and a passion for textiles, elastomers, and foams, with 0–3 hands-on experiences or internships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate, associate degree, or trade training is a plus.
• Hands-on projects from school, personal, or internships encouraged.
• Familiarity with textiles, elastomers, foams, and basic shop practices would help.

Responsibilities

• Cut, bond, sew, and assemble prototypes, samples, and fixtures to spec.
• Execute cut-and-sew, bonding, lamination, and assembly tasks following workflows.
• Prepare materials, maintain shop tools, and keep space organized and safe.
• Document measurements, process notes, and results for traceability.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers, learning and growing toward ownership.
