Job summary

LA28 is seeking a Sport Manager Deputy, Softball, to shape Event Operating Plans for the 2028 Games. You will manage communications with WBSC and coordinate venue and event teams while leading the softball operations workforce from LA to the Games in OKC.

The role requires extensive softball knowledge, Olympic/tournament experience, and strong project management with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. On-site work in LA and Oklahoma City is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience organizing softball tournaments and delivering competition operations.
• Experience with World Baseball Softball Confederation or similar governing bodies.
• Ability to brief senior leaders and coordinate input across venue and event teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject-matter expert for softball and develop/refine Event Operating Plans.
• Coordinate with WBSC and other sport bodies on planning.
• Lead the competition management workforce to deliver operations at tournaments.
• Support test events or pre-Games competitions.
