Job summary

LA28 in Oklahoma City is seeking a Director, Event and Venue General Manager to lead the operational planning and delivery for the Games venues, including the OKC Softball Park and the OKC Whitewater Center.

You will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate with venue owners and authorities, oversee budgets, schedules, and risk, and ensure a safe, accessible, high-quality competition experience at Games time.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading venue, event or operations for major live events.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management across live venues.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop venue-based Event Operations plans.
• Lead the Team OKC venue team to achieve objectives and deliverables.
• Build relationships with the venue partner and stakeholders and serve as the day-to-day venue leader contact.
• Coordinate with Team OKC to manage meetings, visits, planning and readiness.
• Manage venue service levels, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
