LA28 seeks an Event and Venue General Manager (Director) to lead planning and delivery of venue operations for the Los Angeles 2028 Games. You will build readiness plans, teams, and partnerships, turning venues into world-class fields of play and ensuring safe, accessible competition days.

The role requires 8+ years leading complex live-event operations, strong stakeholder management, and experience directing budgets and schedules. On-site in LA with a chance to influence the Games’ legacy.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in sport management or a related field.
• 8+ years leading venue, event, or operations delivery at scale for major live events.
• Proven track record building senior cross-functional teams to fixed deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder and vendor management across multiple venues.
• Experience directing budgets, master schedules, and risk registers.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate cross-functionally, lead the development, optimization, and delivery of venue-based Event Operations plans for the venue.
• Lead the venue team to achieve objectives, venue readiness, and deliverables to stakeholders, and venue owner / operator.
• Build strong, productive relationships with venue partner and related stakeholders and serve as the day-to-day venue leadership contact.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure an efficient engagement process with venue partners including managing meeting cadence, site visits, planning, and operational readiness.
• Work closely with venue infrastructure, technology, and other technical teams to track deliverables.
• Manage venue service levels, identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and create efficiencies and savings.
• Hire, train, motivate, and lead a diverse, high-performing venue team.
• Coordinate with venue owners and local authorities to manage the Venue Use Agreement (VUA).
• Prepare and deliver reports on venue status to senior leaders and stakeholders across planning, readiness and operations.
• Manage venue operations supporting athletes, workforce, spectators, partners, and media with inclusive access.
• Establish relationships with local authorities and security representatives relevant to the venue.
