Job summary

Portland Public Schools in Portland, MI, seeks a part-time Softball Assistant Coach at Portland High School. You will support the Head Softball Coach and the Extra-Curricular Activities Director in developing players, planning practices, and game preparation.

You will reinforce fundamentals, mentor student-athletes, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and ensure compliance with district policies and MHSAA regulations. Coaching experience preferred and safety certifications are encouraged.

• College-level softball playing or coaching experience.
• Participation in softball camps, clinics, or coaching development programs.
• First Aid certification.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

The Softball Assistant Coach will assist with all aspects of the Portland High School softball program. The selected candidate will work directly with the Head Softball Coach and the Extra-Curricular Activities Director to support the overall development and success of the program.
