Job summary

QinetiQ US seeks an experienced SOF-space planner to embed with the NSDC at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. You will bridge the SOF enterprise and space defense, integrating operations planning, BMC2 processes, and space campaign planning to defend space capabilities.

Responsibilities include building COAs and CONOPs, coordinating with NSDC and USSPACECOM, and ensuring SOF requirements are represented in planning cycles. A TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; significant experience may substitute.
• 7+ years of operational planning experience with or in direct support of Special Operations Forces.
• Experience with the Joint Planning Process (JPP), Military Decision Making Process (MDMP), and/or APEX planning framework.
• Working knowledge of space operations or space-enabled capabilities as they relate to SOF mission execution.
• Familiarity with Joint Publication 3-05 SOF doctrine and related planning frameworks.
• Ability to produce operational planning products (orders, CONOPs, COAs, briefings) for senior audiences.
• Proficiency with classified networks and tools (SIPRNet and JWICS).
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Integrate SOF capabilities into NSDC operational plans and campaign plans.
• Develop COAs, CONOPs, and planning annexes for SOF-space initiatives.
• Coordinate across NSDC and partner commands to synchronize SOF-space planning.
• Maintain situation awareness of adversary counterspace threats and contribute to I&W products.
• Interface with NSDC BMC2 architecture to integrate SOF requirements into command processes.
• Support NSDC exercises and wargames focusing on SOF-space convergence.
• Conduct AARs and develop improvement recommendations for SOF-space integration.
