Job summary

QinetiQ US supports the National Space Defense Center (NSDC) at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. We are seeking a seasoned SOF planner to bridge the SOF enterprise with space defense mission planning, integrating SOF capabilities into NSDC plans and BMC2 processes.

The role requires deep planning expertise, knowledge of space operations, and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. You will work across NSDC, USSPACECOM, TSOCs, GCCs, the IC, and NRO to synchronize SOF-space

Qualifications

• Bachelors required; significant experience may substitute.
• 7+ years of operational planning experience with or in direct support of Special Operations Forces at unit/command level.
• Experience with JPP, MDMP, and/or APEX planning frameworks.
• Working knowledge of space operations and space-domain awareness.
• Familiarity with Joint Publication 3-05 and SOF doctrine and campaign plans.
• Ability to produce operational-quality planning products (orders, CONOPs, COAs, briefings).
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate SOF-space concepts into NSDC planning cycles.
• Coordinate planning across NSDC directorates, USSPACECOM, TSOCs, GCCs, IC, and NRO.
• Support BMC2 architecture integration and decision-support briefings for NSDC leadership.
• Conduct planning, staff, and assessment activities; produce AARs and improvement recommendations.
