Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking an embedded SOF-space planner to support the NSDC at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs. The role focuses on integrating SOF capabilities into space defense plans, BMC2 processes, and space-domain awareness to strengthen unified space operations.

You will work across DoD and intelligence partners, develop COAs and CONOPs, and contribute to campaign planning and operational orders for senior leaders. A TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; significant experience may substitute.
• 7+ years of operational planning experience with or in direct support of SOF at unit/command level.
• Familiarity with JPP, MDMP, and/or APEX planning frameworks.
• Working knowledge of space operations and space-domain awareness as they relate to SOF mission execution.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a polygraph; familiarity with SOF doctrine.

Responsibilities

• Integrate SOF capabilities into NSDC operational plans, contingency plans, and campaigns supporting space superiority and defense missions.
• Coordinate across NSDC directorates, USSPACECOM, TSOCs, GCCs, the IC, and NRO to synchronize planning activities.
• Interface with NSDC’s BMC2 architecture to ensure SOF requirements are integrated into command processes.
• Develop and facilitate exercises and assessments; produce AARs and lessons learned to improve SOF-space integration.
