Job summary

QinetiQ US seeks an experienced Special Operations Planner Team Lead embedded with USSPACECOM at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. You will direct a team of planners supporting high-visibility operations and own the delivery of planning products for senior leadership.

The role requires 15+ years in operational planning, 3+ years leading teams in a cleared environment, and TS/SCI clearance. You will coordinate with government partners and integrate STO/SAP capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 15+ years of operational planning in a special operations, joint, or Combatant Command HQ.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a cleared DoW/contractor environment.
• Proven ability to deliver CONOPs, COAs, and operational orders to senior leadership.
• Direct experience integrating STO or SAP into operational plans at the combatant command level.
• Strong ability to communicate with government customers and lead a team under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication for flag SES-level audiences.
• Proficiency with classified systems (SIPRNet/JWICS).
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior contractor point of contact for planning activities with COR and gov leadership.
• Manage a team of Special Operations Planners, assign work and ensure on-time deliverables.
• Conduct performance evaluations and maintain high team morale in demanding environments.
• Coordinate staffing and personnel actions with program management.
• Direct development of operational products across JPP, CONOPs, COAs, and OP orders.
• Oversee integration of STO/SAP capabilities into USSPACECOM plans.
• Ensure coordination across directorates, interagency partners, and allied nations.
