Job summary

QinetiQ US seeks a Senior Special Operations Planner Team Lead to support USSPACECOM at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs. You will direct a team of planners, own the quality and delivery of planning products, and interface with government leadership on priorities.

The role requires 15+ years of operational planning, strong leadership, and experience integrating STO/SAP capabilities into combatant command plans. TS/SCI clearance is required; join a mission-focused team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 15+ years of operational planning experience in a special operations, joint, or Combatant Command headquarters environment.
• 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience managing planners or analysts in a DoW or cleared contractor environment.
• Proven experience leading planning teams through the full Joint Planning Process (JPP).
• Direct experience planning or integrating STO or SAP into operational plans at the combatant command level.
• Strong written and oral communication skills for flag-level audiences.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead senior contractor planning support for USSPACECOM, interfacing with government leadership on priorities and performance.
• Direct development of operational planning products across JPP including CONOPs, COAs, and OPlans.
• Lead integration of STO/SAP capabilities into operational plans and CONPLANS.
• Coordinate planning activities across USSPACECOM Directorates and partner nations.
• Oversee delivery of decision-ready products—briefings, staff packages, and planning summaries.
