Job summary

KBR in Homestead, FL seeks a Special Operations Performance Dietitian to enhance recovery and optimize performance for SOF personnel under the POTFF contract. The role includes counseling, program design, collaboration with command and HP staff, and performance nutrition guidance in garrison, TDY, and deployed settings.

The candidate must hold a Master’s in nutrition, be an ADA‑RD with CSSD expected within six months, and have 3+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• This position requires US Citizenship.
• This position requires a Secret or Top Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
• Master’s level degree in Nutrition Science or related field.
• RD and CSSD certifications; CSSD to be earned within six months if deferred.
• Minimum of 3 years as a Performance Dietitian with athletes at various levels.
• Fluent oral and written English communication.
• Able to hike in rough terrain and work in austere environments.
• Must lift loads up to 25 kilograms.
• Maintain current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs administrative and clinical duties within scope of practice.
• Provide nutritional planning, counseling, and documentation guided by evidence.
• Advise chain of command on nutrition and performance issues.
• Possibly order labs within scope of practice.
• Provide individual and group counseling for performance nutrition.
• Design and implement performance nutrition programs for SOF personnel in various settings.
• Develop nutritional protocols and guidelines for rehabilitation and performance.
• Collaborate with HP program Manager/Coordinator for new protocols.
• Advise on dining facility/galley nutrition and liaison with food service.
• Assist regional SOF assets as required by HP manager and command.
• Attend meetings with POTFF staff and medical personnel.
• Advise on supplements within POTFF program.
• Ensure educational materials and supplies are available.
• Assist with supply inventories and input on needs.
