Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a mental health technician.
• Education may be met by military training if the individual’s specialty is mental health technician/specialist.
• Associate degree or commensurate level of training is required or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a credentialed provider, conduct intakes and assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug and alcohol clients.
• Provide a wide range of behavioral health interventions from mitigation to treatment for individuals as assigned by a licensed professional.
• Observe clients, report observations to licensed behavioral health staff, and document relevant findings.
• Lead prescribed individual or group therapy sessions as directed by a licensed mental health professional.
• Prepare and maintain attendance rosters and statistical data for active-duty personnel who attended services.
