Qualifications

• Associate degree or commensurate level of training; military mental health technician qualification acceptable.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a mental health technician.
• Trained to intervene and, when required, to restrain violent or potentially violent or suicidal clients.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a credentialed provider, conduct intakes and assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol clients.
• Observe clients to detect behavior patterns and report observations to licensed behavioral health staff.
• Lead prescribed individual or group therapy sessions as part of specific therapeutic procedures under the guidance of a licensed mental health professional.
• Populate and maintain data, prepare reports, and assist with presentations and training statistics.
• Prepare daily correspondence, attendance rosters, and statistical data for active-duty personnel who attended Behavioral Health services.
