Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of two years of related experience.
• Current LCSW or LMSW with license valid in the state of practice is required.
• Master’s or doctoral degree in one of the following fields, with the applicable clinical licensure and/or certification: Social Work (CSWE-accredited, LCSW or equivalent), Marriage and Family Therapy (COAMFTE program or equivalent with AAMFT clinical credential), Professional Counseling (master’s with independent licensure and NCMHCE or equivalent).
• Must be able to meet credentialing and privileging standards per Defense Health Agency procedures.
• Must have experience in brief behavioral interventions.
• Minimum of two years of peer-reviewable clinical work experience in a mental health setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of employees and cultivate a high-performance team.
• Ensure adequate staff coverage for the assigned program area.
• Serve as subject matter expert for identified program knowledge.
• Ensure the team meets contract and SLA requirements.
• Collaborate with contract management and shared services to identify improvements.
• Attend client and stakeholder meetings as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Staff meetings and clinical activities per applicable regulations and unit direction.
• Conduct applied research and clinical investigations at clinical, behavioral health, or organizational levels.
• Provide individual, family, group, and couples therapy, and evaluate alcohol/drug treatment needs.
• Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, commanders, and school districts as required.
• Participate in military-specific training and security-related requirements.
• Contact referred clients to assess treatment adherence.
• Use validated symptom inventories to assess current symptom severity.
• Assess barriers to treatment adherence and help clients problem-solve solutions.
• Educate clients about their mental health condition and treatment plan.
• Maintain client information in a registry and documentations in approved systems.
