Job summary

The Department of Health and Human Services in North Carolina is seeking a Social Worker (S) to provide direct social work services at Royall Cottage, a 48-bed program for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities include psychosocial evaluations, documentation in the EHR, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. A MSW/BSW and one year of related experience are required; sign-on bonus may be offered. 8:00–5:00, Monday–Friday, in Butner, NC.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of social work principles, theory base methods, policy, techniques, trends and literature of social work with particular reference to mental and emotional disturbances, developmental disabilities, and governmental and private organizations, and resources in the community, laws, regulations, and policies which govern the program.
• Strong writing skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide social work services for Royall Cottage, a 48-bed co-ed non-ambulatory IDD program.
• Complete psychosocial evaluations and document client progress in EHR.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team and other service providers.
