Job summary

Baltimore County is seeking a Social Worker II-Merit in Towson to provide direct professional social work services to participants of the Fatherhood Program within the Community Based Services Division.

Under supervision, develops curricula, conducts client interviews, provides group counseling, and maintains case records to COA and agency standards. This role requires a Master’s in Social Work and two years of professional experience, plus LIC / licensure expectations as noted.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Two years of professional social work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements curricula for programs and coordinates services.
• Interviews clients to assess strengths and needs and prepares treatment plans and reports.
• Provides group services, psycho-educational and crisis counseling as appropriate.
• Maintains monthly reports and case records per COA/agency standards.
• Assists with emergency mass care and shelter operations as needed.
• Represents the County and DSS in meetings and community outreach.
• Recruits participants and monitors attendance and outcomes.
