Baltimore County is seeking a Family Support Services Social Worker to support families involved in family law matters. This full-time position conducts needs assessments, prepares court reports, and may provide expert witness testimony.
It also plays a key role in services at the Visitation Center of Baltimore County by orienting clients and coordinating on-site services. Qualified candidates will have a Maryland LGSW or LCSW license and at least two years of family-related social work
Regular Schedule: 35 hours per week.
A full‑time, non-merit vacancy, with full County benefits, exists in the Circuit Court of Baltimore County.

The Family Support Services Social Worker serves under the general direction of the Family Services Coordinator. This position requires a dedicated and skilled Family Services Social Worker to support families involved in family law matters. This position conducts needs assessments, identifies custody and access barriers, and provides professional recommendations to the Court. The Family Services Social Worker also plays a key role in service delivery at the Visitation Center of Baltimore County (VCBC), including client orientations, scheduling, and coordination of on-site services. This is a full‑time, grant‑funded position.
Possession of a LGSW or LCSW Clinical License issued by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners
Two years of social work experience in a family‑related practice area.
LCSW-C license with diagnostic experience in substance abuse, domestic violence, mental health, or other family‑related fields. Prefer a creative, motivated professional with program development experience to enhance the services offered at the Visitation Center of Baltimore County
