Job summary

CAPSA- Citizens Against Physical and Sexual Abuse is seeking a Case Manager in Logan, Utah to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking through in-person, virtual, and phone crisis intervention.

You will help survivors create action plans, assist with protective orders, police reports, court processes, housing, employment, and financial assistance while maintaining strong community partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Education preferred: Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively in crisis situations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships with team members and external partners.
  • Working knowledge of trauma experienced by survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person, virtual, and telephone crisis intervention for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
  • Assist survivors in creating survivor-directed action plans, including protective orders, police reports, court attendance, housing, employment, or financial assistance.
  • Support survivors during hospital forensic exams, offering emotional advocacy and assistance during a highly vulnerable time.
  • Foster strong connections with community resources and professionals.
  • Educate survivors about dynamics of domestic and sexual violence.
  • Help survivors develop safety plans and complete danger assessments.
  • Maintain a client caseload and follow up on progress and needs.
  • Collaborate with other case management team members to best serve survivors.
  • Represent CAPSA at community events and outreach activities to raise awareness and partnerships.
  • Complete accurate and timely case documentation.
  • Perform other duties to support CAPSA's mission.

As a Case Manager at CAPSA, you will play a vital role in supporting survivors on their journey to safety and healing, with this position specifically serving individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities. You will provide compassionate, survivor-centered services, ensuring each client feels empowered and supported through every step of the process.

Position Purpose

  • Assist survivors in creating survivor-directed action plans, which may include filing protective orders, making police reports, attending court, and securing housing, employment, or financial assistance.
  • Support survivors during hospital forensic exams, offering emotional advocacy and assistance during a highly vulnerable time.
  • Foster strong connections and collaborations with community resources and professionals.
  • Educate survivors about the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence.
  • Assist survivors in developing safety plans and completing danger assessments.
  • Maintain a client caseload, regularly following up to assess progress and address additional needs.
  • Collaborate with and support other case management team members, providing feedback and assistance to best serve survivors.
  • Represent CAPSA at community events and outreach activities to increase awareness of services for underserved populations and strengthen community partnerships.
  • Complete accurate and timely case documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of CAPSA.
