Job summary

The Houston Area Women's Center is seeking a Residential Case Manager to provide empowering and supportive services to victims of domestic and sexual violence. You will assess clients, deliver crisis intervention, and manage day-to-day needs to help residents stay safe.

This full-time, 100% onsite role requires strong communication, empathy, and experience in housing or survivor services. The position involves a typical schedule Monday–Friday 9:00–18:00 with occasional late night and one

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Public Health, or other social science.
• Minimum one year experience in housing program or with survivors of domestic/sexual violence.
• Residential setting experience and crisis management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Texas driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Empower, support, and monitor performance of domestic and sexual violence clients in accordance with agency, funder, and state/federal guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and detailed client documentation in compliance with agency, funder, and state/federal guidelines.
• Work cooperatively with residential staff to create a positive, safe environment for both employees and clients.
• Create and maintain an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Provide support services and meet regularly with clients to assess needs, goals, and barriers to transitioning from the shelter.
• Manage an average caseload of 19-24 families.
• Provide referral information and identify clients' legal rights as part of case management.
• Attend weekly Case Team Meetings for feedback and recommendations.
• Report abuse/neglect to appropriate authorities.

Job description

As the Residential Case Manager you will provide empowering and supportive services to victims of domestic and sexual violence while assessing them in day-to-day efforts to stay safe. The Residential Case Manager will be responsible for providing crisis intervention and case management to women who have been victims of domestic and/or sexual violence. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be empathetic and supportive

of clients and their families.

Your Schedule:

• Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM, including one late night from 12 PM to 9 PM and one Saturday each month.
• Work Model: 100% onsite

Local Travel: 5%

• Hourly Compensation: $21.63
• Pay Schedule: Semi-monthly

Qualifications

The Requirements We are Seeking:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Public Health, or other social science.
• A minimum of one year experience working within a housing program, or working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence, or similar in a social service setting working with vulnerable populations with clients from a diverse background
• Experience within a residential setting strongly preferred.
• Experience with crisis management strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
• Texas driver’s license with a good driving record; reliable transportation; ability to travel to off-site locations utilizing personal transportation, if applicable.
