Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, Inc. seeks a dedicated supervisor to oversee volunteers, interns, and program staff across multiple services for homeless and at-risk populations. The role involves planning workshops, on-site orientation, and ensuring compliance with funding and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, performance reviews, and travel across all five boroughs. Fluency in Spanish is a plus; flexibility with hours is required to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• MSW preferred or Master Degree in related field required.
• Two years’ experience in providing direct services to homeless individuals/families or at-risk populations.
• Ability to work flexible hours incl. weekends/evenings.
• Able to conduct home/field visits and travel throughout the five boroughs.
• One year supervisory/managerial experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supervise volunteers, bachelor and master level interns.
• Develop, plan and implement workshops and groups for participant skill enhancement.
• Provide individual and team supervision.
• Onboard staff including new staff program orientation and training.
• Monitor staff performance; conduct performance appraisals.
• Perform tasks related to agency and contractual compliance and accountability.
• Ensure funding source quality assurance reports are complete; assist in preparing reports for the funding source
• Assure household financial assistance funds are utilized according to standards.
• Perform tasks related to crisis intervention; review, prepare and investigate participant incidents and complete related reports.
• Recruit staff by screening resumes, conduct screenings and interviews of candidates.
