Job summary

The Springs of Pine Bluff seeks a compassionate and motivated Social Service Director to join our leadership team, guiding the Social Services Department to support residents’ medical, emotional, and social needs.

In this role you will develop, implement, and monitor social service programs that meet regulatory requirements; oversee discharge planning, assessments, and individualized care plans; collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and community partners; and lead staff to uphold

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field (required).
• Experience in long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Compassionate approach and ability to advocate for residents.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor social service programs that meet all regulatory requirements
• Support discharge planning, resident assessments, and individualized social care plans
• Collaborate with residents, families, healthcare providers, and community organizations
• Coordinate department functions and manage social services staff
• Ensure compliance, resident rights, confidentiality, and quality standards
• Participate in quality improvement efforts and handle social services emergencies
