Job summary

The Avante Group is seeking a seasoned Social Services Director for our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team in The Villages, FL. You will lead the Social Services Department, ensure compliance with federal/state standards, and advocate for residents’ psycho-social needs on an individual basis.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s in social work or related field, 3+ years in long-term care, and at least 1 year of supervised social work in healthcare, plus strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Long Term Care.
• At least 1 year of supervised Social Work experience in a Health Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct overall operation of the Social Services Department per federal/state standards.
• Serve as liaison to ensure residents' psycho-social needs are met and respected.

Social Services Director Needed- Join our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Team

A leading skilled nursing center in the The Villages area seeks a seasoned and compassionate Social Services Director to be a liaison and representative of the residents’ social interests and plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with current federal and state standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator to ensure that the medical-related psycho-social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis.

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Must be a team player.
• Must have the ability to work with all levels of management.
• Must have strong problem-solving skills.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word.

Education and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in social work or in Human Services but not limited to Sociology, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Long Term Care.
• At least 1 year of supervised Social Work experience in a Health Care setting working directly with individuals.
