Job summary

Skilled Nursing and Rehab of The Villages is seeking a seasoned Social Services Director to lead our Social Services Department, ensuring resident psycho-social needs are met within federal and state standards. You will liaison with residents, plan programs, and direct department operations under administrator guidance.

The ideal candidate has long-term care experience, strong communication, and collaboration with management to deliver compassionate, compliant resident services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Long Term Care.
• At least 1 year of supervised Social Work experience in a Health Care setting working directly with individuals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the Social Services Department in accordance with federal and state standards.
• Act as liaison representing residents' social interests and advocate for psycho-social needs.

Social Services Director Needed- Join our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Team

A leading skilled nursing center in the The Villages area seeks a seasoned and compassionate Social Services Director to be a liaison and representative of the residents' social interests and plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Social Services Department in accordance with current federal and state standards governing thefacility, and as may be directed by the Administrator to ensure that the medicalrelated psycho-social needs of the residents are met and maintained on anindividual basis.

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Must be a team player.
• Must have the ability to work with all levels of management.
• Must have strong problem-solving skills.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word.

Education and Experience:

• A bachelor's degree in social work or in Human Services but not limited to Sociology, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Long Term Care.
• At least 1 year of supervised Social Work experience in a Health Care setting working directly with individuals.
