Job summary

The Californian in Pasadena is seeking a compassionate Social Services Assistant to support our social services programs. You will provide administrative support to social workers, conduct intake assessments, and help develop service plans for clients.

This role requires maintaining accurate records, confidentiality, and a safe, organized environment for clients and staff. Days worked are Tuesday and Thursday, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in social work or related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in social services or healthcare setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Social Workers: Provide administrative support to our social workers, including documentation, data entry, and client communication.
• Conduct Intake Assessments: Conduct initial intake assessments with clients, gathering information and identifying service needs.
• Develop Service Plans: Collaborate with social workers to develop individualized service plans, outlining goals and objectives for each client.
• Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client records, service plans, and progress reports.
• Maintain a Safe and Organized Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients and staff.
