Job summary

The Californian is seeking a compassionate Social Services Assistant to support our social services programs. You will assist social workers with documentation, data entry, and client communication, and help conduct intake assessments to identify service needs.

You will collaborate to develop individualized service plans and maintain accurate client records, while ensuring a safe and organized environment for clients and staff. This role is part-time, Tue/Thu, in Pasadena, CA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience in social services or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Social Workers: provide administrative support including documentation, data entry, and client communication.
• Conduct initial intake assessments with clients and identify service needs.
• Develop individualized service plans with social workers highlighting goals and objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress, service plans, and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients and staff.
