About The Role
We are seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Specialist to join our Marketing and Communications team remotely. In this role, you will develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engage target audiences, build community, and support our overall marketing objectives. This position requires a self-starter with excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills and a deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with WeCare’s marketing goals, target audience, and brand identity
- Create and curate engaging content across multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Manage daily operations of all social media channels, ensuring consistent branding and messaging
- Engage with followers by responding to comments and inquiries professionally and promptly
- Monitor social media channels for brand mentions, conversations, and trends; analyze sentiment and identify engagement opportunities
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media advertising campaigns to drive brand visibility and marketing objectives
- Track and report on social media performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness and improve future campaigns
- Stay current with evolving social media trends, platform updates, algorithms, and emerging best practices
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure alignment of messaging
- Support crisis communication strategies by ensuring timely and accurate social media responses
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and ethical guidelines in all social media activities
- Maintain and manage a social media content calendar for timely and organized posting
- Utilize social media management and analytics tools such as Hootsuite and Sprout Social
- Apply basic graphic design skills using tools like Canva to enhance content quality
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have valid work authorization for employment in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
- 3-5 years of social media management experience, preferably in healthcare or related sectors
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and audience targeting
- Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills
- Proven experience planning and optimizing paid social media campaigns
- Ability to analyze social media data and generate actionable reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional online presence
- Strong organizational and project management skills for remote work environments
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging content and campaigns
- Problem-solving skills to manage social media challenges effectively
- Reliable internet connection and dedicated home office setup
- Preferred: Knowledge of healthcare terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer)
- Basic graphic design proficiency (e.g., Canva)
