We are seeking a creative, ambitious, and digital-savvy Social Media Marketing Intern to help drive growth, engagement, and brand awareness across multiple social media platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, digital engagement, and brand storytelling while working with a passionate and innovative team. The Social Media Marketing Intern will play a vital role in executing our digital engagement strategy. The intern will manage social media accounts, create content, and implement campaigns that increase awareness, grow engagement, and connect with key stakeholders, including students, alumni, donors, and corporate partners.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute a content calendar for TROPF’s social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  2. Create engaging and mission-aligned graphics, videos, and written content that highlight the Foundation’s impact, programs, and events.
  3. Optimize posts for reach, engagement, and growth, leveraging social media trends and best practices.
  4. Monitor conversations, comments, and messages across platforms and engage with the TROPF community.
  5. Develop creative campaigns and storytelling initiatives to highlight success stories and impact.
  6. Identify and engage with relevant influencers, partners, and community organizations to expand TROPF’s reach.
  7. Support the promotion of major events such as the Entrepreneurship Lab, Business Pitch Competition, College Tour and corporate partnership engagements through social media.
  8. Assist in developing and executing email marketing and digital fundraising campaigns.
  9. Monitor and report on key social media metrics, providing insights and recommendations for growth.
  10. Conduct competitive analysis and identify opportunities for innovation.
Qualifications
  1. Passion for social impact, storytelling, and digital marketing.
  2. Strong writing skills with experience in social media copywriting, blog writing, or marketing content creation.
  3. Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools is a plus.
  4. Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging campaigns and initiatives.
  5. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  6. Experience with video editing or live streaming is a plus.
