Job description

Our Marketing team is dedicated to driving the growth and adoption of the NEAR Protocol ecosystem by creating compelling narratives, fostering partnerships, and delivering innovative marketing strategies. Our mission is to empower developers, creators, and communities to build a more open, scalable, and user-friendly Web3 environment. Your Responsibilities

  • Own and drive NEAR’s global social media strategy across X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram, Telegram, Reddit, and emerging platforms, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with our brand narrative.
  • Manage daily operations of all social media accounts: publishing content, scheduling posts, overseeing visual assets, and ensuring timely community engagement.
  • Craft compelling, native content across platforms that drives conversation, amplifies our campaigns, and resonates with developers, founders, and Web3-native audiences.
  • Measure what matters: Monitor KPIs such as reach, engagement, sentiment, follower growth, and share of voice. Report insights and recommendations weekly and monthly.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the content, brand, community, and ecosystem teams to amplify launches, partnerships, events (e.g. NEARCON), and ecosystem updates.
  • Engage directly with our community: respond to questions, surface insights from conversations, and moderate dialogue with empathy, speed, and authority.
  • Spot and test trends early, whether it’s AI-generated content formats, meme cycles, new platform features, or community growth hacks.
  • Build and nurture influencer and creator relationships in crypto, AI, and tech to expand NEAR’s reach and credibility with core audiences.
  • Maintain a global perspective and support localization/adaptation of social media strategy across key markets and language communities.

Your Experience

  • Proven track record of success in managing social media accounts and driving engagement for a crypto/blockchain project or technology company.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, analytics tools, and best practices for content creation, distribution, and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and the broader fintech landscape.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute data-driven social media strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Creative problem solver who can adapt to evolving trends and challenges in the fast-paced crypto industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a team of social media professionals.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
