As an experienced content creator and marketing communications expert, the Social Media Director will be responsible for integrating data and insights to create compelling content and drive interest in Empower. This role adopts a newsroom approach to social media content, focusing on social monitoring, rapid response, and digital community engagement. The social storyteller will develop financial shorts, social media soundbites, and syndication opportunities for Empower research to foster brand affinity.

What You Will Do
  1. Deliver content aligned with the social media strategy to elevate the brand and executive reputation, targeting key audience segments.
  2. Develop strategic social content strategies and creative briefs based on brand, audience, and channel insights.
  3. Engage across all social media platforms, including LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
  4. Create and curate engaging content such as articles, blog posts, videos, and infographics to attract followers and drive traffic.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, HR, Legal, Compliance, business lines) to integrate social media initiatives into broader campaigns.
  6. Utilize analytics tools to track, measure, and report on social media campaign performance.
  7. Provide regular updates on social media trends, industry news, and competitor activity, identifying growth opportunities.
  8. Stay updated on best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements in social media marketing within the financial services industry.
  9. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
What You Will Bring
  1. 8+ years of experience in financial services, marketing, or media, leading social media strategies.
  2. Proficiency in operating within corporate, sales, or agency environments.
  3. 5+ years of experience in promotion strategies for large organizations.
  4. A creative thinker passionate about brand building.
  5. Proven project management and strategic planning skills.
  6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and influencing abilities.
  7. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

Base Salary Range

$103,600 - $146,350, with potential bonuses and incentives based on performance and location.
