Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Social Media Coordinator in Denver to support execution of its social media strategy across Ikon Pass channels. You will work with the Operations Specialist to manage publishing, influencer coordination, and customer service, while supporting the content and social teams at multiple destinations.

The role requires availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons, with a hybrid-friendly/headquarters setup in Denver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field plus 1+ years of social media/marketing experience; OR 2–4 years in social media, community management, or influencer marketing in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with major social platforms and platform-specific formatting/aspect ratios.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; comfortable managing multiple concurrent requests and deadlines.
• Clear, proactive written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with MS Office and team platforms (e.g., Airtable, Sprout).

Responsibilities

• Publish approved content across active social channels following the established content calendar.
• Draft captions and short-form copy for scheduled publishing; partner with the copywriter and graphic designer.
• Coordinate day-to-day communication with influencers and athletes, including scheduling and travel logistics.
• Maintain the influencer directory and track all posts/deliverables in reporting platforms.
• Monitor social inbox messages and public comments; respond per talking points and escalate issues.
• Support monthly and campaign-level social reporting; assist with vendor administration and intake forms.
• Arrange monthly destination social media manager meetings and on-site/remote logistics for events.
