Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company seeks a Director of Social Media to craft and lead social content strategy for Ikon Pass and owned destinations. You will align with marketing and PR, manage a team, and partner with agencies to deliver impactful campaigns.

You will own social programming, oversee analytics dashboards, and drive innovative, data-driven initiatives across Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and more. Denver-based hybrid model offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field.
• 8+ years progressive experience in social media marketing roles with 5–7 years industry experience.
• Experience with multiple agencies or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media strategy across all channels to promote Ikon Pass and Alterra destinations.
• Collaborate with marketing, PR, and product teams to create integrated campaigns.
• Lead a team and manage external agencies to optimize social efforts and budgets.
• Oversee social content planning, monitoring tools, and KPI dashboards for leadership reporting.
• Drive social technolgy adoption and test-and-learn initiatives across platforms.
