Spencer’s in Egg Harbor Township, NJ is seeking a Social Media Assistant to support day-to-day operations across Spencer’s, Spirit Halloween, and Spirit Christmas. You will help with ideation, content creation, community management, and campaign execution to grow the brand’s reputation and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant social media experience.
• Experience managing social media pages across multiple platforms.
• Proficiency with CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express, and platform editors (Instagram Reels, TikTok).
• Familiarity with social media management/listening tools (Emplifi, Meltwater, Sprinklr).
• Experience in fast-paced retail environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of social media channels for three brands, ensuring consistent execution.
• Brainstorm, create, and edit engaging content across video and image formats.
• Manage end-to-end publishing workflow, calendars, approvals, and timing.
• Monitor trends and translate opportunities into brand-appropriate content and activations.
• Draft on-brand social copy that drives engagement.
• Assist with community management and timely brand support online.
• Support social reporting, listening, data gathering, and tagging.
• Coordinate user-generated content and influencer initiatives.
