Job summary

Spencer's & Spirit in New Jersey is seeking a Content Writer to craft product descriptions, blogs, marketing emails, and SEO copy for our e-commerce sites.

You will compile content in the CMS, draft site copy, and ensure brand voice aligns with each brand. Strong writing and editing skills, plus ability to adapt to a fast-paced creative environment, are essential. The team offers a flexible environment and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent written communication skills, both creative and concise.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and creative environment.

Responsibilities

• Compile, organize, and write product descriptions, attributes, keywords, and metadata into the content management system
• Write snipes, blog, and other marketing pieces for our sites utilizing SEO best practices
• Understand brand voice and maintain quality across all content
• Proofread and edit all site content
• Draft email copy
• Draft Amazon copy and incorporate reviewer changes
• Add keywords/tags to web content and publish to channels
• Develop content for product pages, news articles, emails and landing pages
• Follow SEO best practices to raise brand visibility and drive traffic
• Adhere to naming, copy, and spec conventions as established by product managers
