Job summary

SCHEV in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking an Innovative Internship Programs Intern (#W0021) to apply classroom skills by engaging followers and sharing SCHEV's vision, mission, and success stories with statewide partners.

The position requires 10–15 hours per week from August 2026 to May 2027, with the option to negotiate fully remote or hybrid work arrangements. This wage internship carries no benefits.

Qualifications

• Junior or senior college student, Virginia resident.
• Strong social media, communications and marketing skills.
• Excellent writing and editing demonstrated via a sample.
• Strong computer skills demonstrated through coursework or portfolio.
• Willing to learn and assist with other tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver student and institutional module trainings (virtual and in-person).
• Develop and maintain digital communications content.
• Support social media planning and analytics reporting.
• Create social media content for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.
• Suggest website improvements aligned with branding and strategy.
• Assist with program outreach to higher education institutions and leadership.
• Help plan rewards for Career Readiness Modules.
• Update the program email distribution list.
• Review materials and propose updates.
• Assist in launching new initiatives to gain student buy-in.
