Job summary

Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) is seeking a motivated Social Media Assistant to join its Communications and Marketing team at Auburn University. The student will help AFNR with social media plans through content creation, monitoring, and reaching new audiences.

You will work with the Extension Communications and Marketing Specialist to ensure branding and accessibility guidelines are met, and you will contribute to marketing efforts to expand AFNR program reach and engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be an enrolled student at Auburn University.
• Experience managing a social media account.

Responsibilities

• Create social media graphics, reels, and posts for requested AFNR teams
• Respond to comments and messages received on social media channels
• Field requests for content from team members
• Identify emerging trends for relevant audiences to engage in on social media and through ACES website pieces
• Track social media performance and analytics
• Ensure content follows all Auburn University and Alabama Extension branding, accessibility and social media guidelines
