Job summary

NC State University is seeking a Social Media Adviser: Student-Generated Content to lead the Student Creator Program, recruiting and coaching student editors and creators to produce authentic, campus-focused content across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

You will develop content strategies, provide direction, and collaborate with campus partners to align with enrollment and branding goals, while leveraging analytics to measure impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience in marketing, communications or public relations for organic social media.
• Experience managing social media projects with metrics and timelines.
• Experience using social media analytics platforms (e.g., Hootsuite).
• Background in supervising students and coordinating student teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Student Creator Program with clear direction and priorities.
• Recruit, onboard, advise and manage multiple student editors and creators.
• Coach student creators to develop authentic, student-first content.
• Develop concepts for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging trends.
• Review content to align with brand standards and audience interests.
• Monitor performance and prepare analytics reports to guide decisions.
• Coordinate with campus partners to integrate content across channels.
• Collaborate with the Social Media Strategy Hub leadership team.
